Use of the application
Lockedscreen is intended for use by schools, teachers, administrators, invigilators, and students in managed examination or assessment environments.
By using Lockedscreen, the school or user agrees to use the application only for lawful educational, assessment, and administrative purposes.
School responsibility
Schools and administrators are responsible for:
- Configuring Lockedscreen correctly for their exam environment.
- Managing teacher, administrator, invigilator, and student access.
- Setting appropriate exam start codes, invigilator PINs, package settings, and kiosk controls.
- Ensuring student notices, permissions, and consent requirements are handled according to applicable law and school policy.
- Reviewing exported exam packages and result-sync settings before use.
- Maintaining secure Windows devices and approved deployment procedures.
Lockedscreen provides exam workflow and lockdown assistance, but high-stakes secure testing also depends on proper device management, Windows kiosk configuration, supervision, and school policy.
Google Classroom and third-party integrations
If a school or teacher enables Google Classroom, Google Drive, Google Sheets, or another third-party integration, the user authorizes Lockedscreen to use the connected account only for the configured classroom and exam workflows.
The school or teacher is responsible for ensuring that the connected Google account has the correct permissions and that any synced grades, assignments, files, or student records are sent to the intended destination.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies.
Exam content and student submissions
Teachers and schools are responsible for the exam content they create, import, export, assign, or distribute through Lockedscreen.
Students are responsible for following the examination instructions provided by their school, teacher, or invigilator.
Lockedscreen may record local submissions, answers, scores, timestamps, and sync status as part of the exam workflow configured by the school.
Security limitations
Lockedscreen includes local secure-session and kiosk-assist features, but no desktop application can guarantee complete operating-system lockdown in every unmanaged Windows environment.
Strong lockdown may require a verified native Windows lockdown companion, Windows kiosk policies, official device management, or supervised school-managed devices.
Schools should test each deployment before using Lockedscreen for formal examinations.
Availability and updates
Lockedscreen may be updated to improve security, functionality, compatibility, or integrations.
Schools should review updates before production use and should keep deployment documentation current.
